

On July 6, 2025, Glen Edward Collins passed away at home, peacefully in his sleep, following a long illness. Glen was born in Mitchell, Nebraska on November 11, 1929 and was a US Army Korean War Veteran. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree from USC in Engineering. His career in the aerospace industry allowed him develop and receive several patents, and he took pride in the fact that some of his communications filters are still sitting on the moon's surface as part of the Apollo program. A three-time widower, Glen is survived by his daughters Shelley Herman, Lori Guerrero, Mona Buckland, and Linda Rahm, and their spouses, Randall Carver, Martin Guerrero, and David Buckland; his Grandchildren Christopher, Brandy, Stephanie, Richard, Nicolette, Devan, and Nadia, and numerous Great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews, and his friends at his “Home Away from Home,” The Firehouse Cafe located in Simi Valley.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Children's Hospital of Los Angeles - Dog Therapy Program at: CHLA.org/GiveToDogTherapy.
A funeral and graveside service for Glen will be held Wednesday, July 9, 2025 at 2:00 PM at Groman Eden Mortuary & Eden Memorial Park, 11500 Sepulveda Blvd, Mission Hills, CA 91345.
