Harriet Helen Ward

September 26, 1924 - May 19, 2015 Harriet Helen Ward Beloved Wife, Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother. Born in Brooklyn, New York September 26, 1924. Graduated from James Madison High School in 1942. Attended Brooklyn College. Moved with her family to Los Angeles in 1946. Harriet married Irv Ward on March 28th of 1953 at the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel, honeymooning in Palm Springs. They have enjoyed over 62 years of wedded bliss. She is survived by her loving husband, Irv; three children; Carol (Tony), Laurie (Bruce), and Adam (Sue); seven grandchildren,, Brooke (Micah), Mark, Jeff, Ashley, Sally, Charlie, Emma, and one great grandson, Eli. She also leaves a special and wonderful caregiver, Cici. Harriet spent most of her life in Tarzana (48 years) contributing much time to such activities as Little League, Girl Scouts, El Caballero CC Women's Board Of Directors, Familial Dysautonomia Fund Raising, and other charitable organizations. She also led an active social life at El Cab including tennis and bridge. She was loved by many and will be missed by many.
