Irwin Robert "Bob" Steres of Reseda, California, passed away Saturday, June 3, 2017 (9 Sivan 5777), at 85. Services will be held Tuesday, June 6, 2017, at 3 pm, in the Eternal Light Chapel of Groman Eden Mortuary. Services will be officiated by Rabbi Edward Feinstein, and will conclude graveside, in Eden Memorial Park. Bob is survived by his beloved wife, Rochelle Steres; his children, Lisa (Greg) Weinberg, Eileen (Steve) Gaffen, and Mark (Suzie) Steres; his sister, Ruth (Marshall, Of Blessed Memory) Pollock; his grandchildren, Alana Gaffen, Ari (fiancée Danielle Marco) Gaffen, Daniel Steres, Andrew Steres, Joey Weinberg, Max Weinberg, and Sam Weinberg; and his beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family.
An Honorably Discharged Veteran of the United States Army, Bob was a 17 year volunteer at the West Valley Los Angeles Police Department, earning the 2016 Volunteer of the Year award.
