Marlene Katz of Las Vegas, Nevada, passed away Monday, September 29, 2014 (5 Tishri 5775). Services will be held Sunday, October 5, 2014, at 2pm, in the Groman Eden Chapel of Groman Eden Mortuary. Services will be officiated by Rabbi Morley Feinstein of University Synagogue, West Los Angeles, and will conclude at graveside, in Eden Memorial Park. Mrs. Katz was born August 20, 1934, in Chicago, Illinois, to Ted and Doris Noble. She was a homemaker, and a retired women's apparel sales associate. She is survived by her loving husband of 28 years, Byron Katz; her children, Michele Catain of Las Vegas, NV, Jody Katz of Los Angeles, CA, Leslie Katz of Albany, CA, and Michael Catain of Duluth, MN; her sisters, Florence (Sol) Catain of Las Vegas, NV, and Sybil (Dick) Israel of Beverly Hills, CA; her grandchildren, Michael Jr., Nick, and Todd (Chriss); and her great-grandchildren, Tyler, Riley, Alexis, and Reagan.
