

Marvin James Miller of Los Angeles, California, passed away Tuesday, December 8, 2015 (26 Kislev 5776), at 89. Services will be held Friday, December 11, 2015, at 2 pm, in the Mount Sinai Chapel of Mount Sinai Memorial Park. The United States Navy will be presenting military honors on Mr. Miller's behalf. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in Mr. Miller's memory to the Alzheimer's Association. www.alz.org
Mr. Miller, an Honorably Discharged and Retired Veteran of the United States Navy, is preceded in passing by his beloved wife of almost 62 years, Beatrice Miller, Of Blessed Memory; and is survived by his children, Barbara (Rodger) Switzky, Philip (Colleen) Miller, and Michael (Laura) Miller; his grandchildren, Jason Miller, David Miller, Sarah (Paladin) Luboff, and Aaron (April) Tarlow; and his great-grandchildren, Gabriel, Orion, Jake, and Brendan.
Mr. Miller was an amazing man. After retiring from the United States Navy, he worked for ten years as a Los Angeles County Public Guardian; and then as a Veterans Affairs Counselor for another 20 years. He volunteered when a major disaster would occur, counseling families on public assistance, and how they could get themselves taken care of.
