Michelle Sunny Taylor passed away with her daughter, Jackie, by her side. She enjoyed going on road trips, watching movies, attending Hollywood Bowl concerts during the Summer months, and Broadway shows at the Pantages and Dolby theatres during the rest of the year, all with her daughter, who was her best friend, by her side. They were inseparable. Some would say they were two peas in a pod. Others would argue they were kindred spirits or soulmates.
Michelle was born and raised in Los Angeles, California, and lived a full and beautiful life. She grew up in the Borscht Belt of Los Angeles, which was East LA at the time, before moving with her mommy, daddy, and big brother to the Hollywood/West Hollywood area. Michelle attended Third Street Elementary School, John Burroughs Junior High, and Fairfax High School.
She had a myriad of jobs, from bartending at pool rooms to working at insurance companies, being a teacher’s aide at her daughter’s elementary school, and finally, a cashier and customer service rep at Orchard Supply Hardware. She had fun wherever she went, even when it was at work. She brightened up every place she encountered.
Michelle raised her daughter with the help of her mommy, Lillian, and daddy, Sidney. She was open and vibrant and had a genuine love for people. She instilled in her daughter a love of learning and being open to the things around you; otherwise, you might miss an excellent opportunity to do and see amazing things or meet incredible people.
She was and always will be a loving daughter, sister, mommy, grand godmother, cousin, and friend.
Michelle will be deeply missed by all those who crossed her path, but most of all, she will live on in the memories and stories of those she has left behind.
