Paula Griefer

February 26, 1935 – August 30, 2021. Paula Griefer, beloved Wife, Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother passed away in Los Angeles, CA. She is survived by her children, Roberta Griefer Giannone and Alan Bruce Griefer, grandchildren Maurice Griefer, Benjamin Griefer, Jet Griefer, Rachel Giannone and Robert Giannone, and great grandchildren Scarlett and Audrey Griefer.

Married for sixty-one years to Stephen Griefer who passed away in January 2017, Paula and Steve enjoyed a long and happy life of traveling, theater, and music.

Born in the Bronx, New York, Paula graduated from Washington Irving High School in 1953 where she was known as Pauline. Her yearbook said she wanted to become a textile designer. Meeting on a blind date and married in 1955, Paula and Stephen started their life together in New York, first in Bayside Queens and then Jericho Long Island before moving to Studio City, California and later Encino, Newport Coast and Century City. Paula loved fashion, antiquing, playing Mahjong with her girlfriends and spending time with her children and grandchildren including special shopping/girls’ excursions with her daughter and granddaughter during their many visits between Los Angeles, Connecticut and vacations.

A graveside service will be held on Sunday, September 12, 2021, 11:00am at Eden Memorial Park, 11500 Sepulveda Blvd., Mission Hills, CA 91345. Arrangements under the direction of Groman Eden Mortuary, Mission Hills, CA.
