Stanley devoted his time and energy to his family. He also had a passion for flying and passed that on to his children as well. On April 2, 1948, he married the love of his life, Phyllis Minette Stone. Together, they raised three children, Lyn, Stephen, and Scott. In addition to raising their family, Stanley along with his wife of 58 years, Phyllis, enjoyed many amazing adventures as they traveled the world.
Throughout his life, Stanley made many friends and was known for his kind, generous nature and compassionate spirit. He was born on August 18, 1926 in Los Angeles to Irving and Ester (Lesser) Footlik, and at 16 enlisted and served in the U.S. Army Air Corp during World War II. Following the war he attended the University of Southern California where he received a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering in 1949.
Stanley was preceded in death by his wife Phyllis, and his son Stephen. He is survived by his daughter Lyn Bresnahan, son Scott (Randi) Footlik, sister Sydelle (Jack) Goldfisher, brothers Robert (Gwen) Footlik and Leonard Footlik, along with all of his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, October 15, 2019, 11:00 am at Eden Memorial Park.
