Alma C Weir

Alma Catoe Weir, 95, formerly of Monroe, NC went to be with her Lord and Savior on January 24, 2022. She was born in Kershaw, SC on September 28, 1926 to the late Charlie Richard and Bertha Catoe. Alma was a longtime member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church. She was a woman of strong faith and her love for the Lord was evident in all areas of her life.

In addition to her parents, Alma is predeceased by her loving husband, Frank Cleatus Weir; three children, Gerald Lynn Weir, Paul Steven Weir and Bettie Weir Finch; two grandchildren, Joseph Donald Finch Jr. and Glenda Finch Lyons; and her siblings, Clyde Catoe, Liston Catoe, Jesse Lee Catoe, Boykin Catoe, Leonard Catoe, Jean Catoe Taylor, Charlie Catoe Jr., Lavenia Catoe Stainback and Jack Catoe.

She is survived by her son, Robert Lee Weir and his wife, Anna; grandchildren, Dayna Weir Abel, Warren Patrick Weir, Gerald Lynn Weir Jr., Selina Anne Weir, Joanna Weir Tucker, Samantha Nicole Weir, Sara Michelle Weir and Robert Lee Weir Jr.; 24 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

A service to celebrate Alma’s life will be held at Mt. Zion Baptist Church on Sunday, January 30, 2022 at 2:00 pm. Burial will follow at the church cemetery.
