Mrs. Betty Hamilton Fowler, 86, passed away on Sunday, November 25, 2011 at Woodridge Assisted Living. Mrs. Fowler was born March 7, 1926 in Mecklenburg County, daughter of the late James Grover and Georgia Noreen Myers Hamilton; she was also preceded in death by her husband Melvern Blyth Fowler and a son Jimmy Fowler. Visitation will be Monday, December 3. 2012 at the McEwen Funeral Home of Monroe from 12:00 Noon until 1:30 P.M., Services to celebrate her life will be 1:30 P.M. in the McEwen Colonial Chapel; interment will follow in Lakeland Memorial Park. Survivors include her daughter: Susan Fowler Dunne and husband Dan of Winston Salem N.C., two grandchildren: Stephanie Hamilton Dunne and Barrington Anthony Dunne both of Winston Salem N.C., one great grandchild: Gracelyn Alexis Dunne of Winston Salem N.C.
