Bobby June Rappe Sr.

Bobby June Rappe Sr., age 80, of Monroe, passed away on December 24, 2016. He was born in Charlotte, NC on May 4, 1936, son of the late Harold and Daisy Rappe. Bobby served in the US ARMY for 15 years, having been stationed throughout the world, he loved animals and spending time with his family. Bobby was preceded in death by his sister, Jo-Rita Rappe and his step-mother, Lettie H. Rappe.

He is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Bertha M. Rappe; daughter, Donna R. Weill (Hal) of Monroe; son, Bobby J. Rappe Jr. of Mount Holly; daughter, Linda R. Alverson (Barry) of Mount Holly; son, Harold E. Rappe (Kem) of Salisbury; step-son, Cliff McManus (Debbie) of Monroe; sister, Donalene Burris of Charlotte; grandchildren, Bobby J. Rappe III, Christopher Rappe, Dorothy Alverson (Jeremy), Linda J. Alverson, Donna Lynn (Dakota), Barry H. Alverson, Colton Rappe (Katie), Alyssa Rappe, Alyssa McGraw and Robert McManus (Melissa); and great-grandchildren, Elizabeth Lynn, Gabriel Lynn and his twin great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, December 28, 2016 from 6:00pm until 8:00pm at McEwen Funeral Home of Monroe. A graveside service will be held 11:00am Thursday, December 29, 2016 in Forest Lawn East Cemetery.
