In high school, I enjoyed going to my good friend Sylvia Green's house and hanging out, and being around her family. Mrs. Doris was so welcoming and kind. Last year my sweet father, Max Tarlton, was in a room near Mrs. Doris at Jesse Helms. I always enjoyed visiting with Doris when I was there.

My sincere condolences to all the family. May your memories bring you peace in the coming days. Prayers to you all.

Keeping you all in my thoughts and prayers during this sad time. Doris was a special lady who was always so sweet to me growing up. She was a fixture at Mill Creek always smiling and friendly to everyone. Moms are hard to live without, but just think how happy she is right now! Love you all.❤️

We are so sorry for your loss.
BF and Doris were a big part of our lives in our younger years.
Their children were friends with our children. Lots of ballgames, cookouts and just enjoyable times of fellowship together. Great memories!
Rest in Peace Doris.

Today I too share your loss. Aunt Doris was my bright shinning star.
Our talks, her guidance and her belief in me carried me through
many days. Her Pecan pies brought my friends and me many meals of delicious wonderment. I as you, will miss her but forever know she now rest in a better place of peace. Thank you Aunt Doris for the memories.
Love to all,

The Helms family very much regrets being unable to attend the service for Aunt Doris. She was a unique person who was sincerely appreciated by all. Our family has wonderful memories of the many times spent with the Greene family dating back to before I was born. We will never forget the wonderful care Aunt Doris provided for my mother, Bernice, during the final days of her life.

Her kindness and gentle demeanor will be sorely missed. But the memories she left for us will never be forgotten.

My heart hurts for you all. We love you and praying for the Greene Family during this difficult time! Doris held a special place in my heart. She was an amazing woman! We loved her so much. She would do anything for anyone and she was a blessing to our family, especially to our Mom. When our Mom was in the nursing home at Jesse Helms their rooms were across from each other. She would roll her wheelchair across the room to check on my mom to see if she was okay and needed anything. I know God puts people in your path and he did put Mrs Doris in my moms path to be loved. I love you Doris and I know you are rejoicing in the presence of the Lord. You will be missed by all!

To the Greene Family: I was sadden to hear about Ms. Doris. She was loved by everyone that knew her. My mother (Lorraine) is confined, and I have not told her about her passing . I’m sure mom would love to have gone with her at this time of her life. She was such a comfort to my mom the last three times mom was at Jesse Helms.
We are all better people by just knowing her and seeing the love she had for everyone .
We loved her! Love, Jann and family
