Edward Marvin Elmore, 97, passed away on Tuesday, July 14, 2015 in Anderson S.C. Mr. Elmore was born February 20, 1918 in Union County, son of the late Charles and Lola Helms Elmore. He was also preceded in death by his wife Vera Lucille Helms Elmore who died in 2011.
Ed was retired from the Eaton Corporation in Monroe.
Visitation will be Saturday, July 18, 2015 from 10:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. at the McEwen Funeral Home of Monroe. Services to celebrate his life will begin at 11:00 A.M. in the McEwen Colonial Chapel with Reverend Charles Broome officiating. Interment will follow at Lakeland Memorial Park.
Survivors include two sons: Edward B. "Eddie" Elmore and wife Janet, Dennis Elmore and wife Linda all of Taylors S.C., six grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren, brother: Reverend E.B. Elmore of Marion N.C., sister: Mrs. Mildred Honeycutt of Monroe N.C.
