

She was born December 19, 1941 to Frank & Cora Smith in High Point, NC.
She was a woman of many talents that touched many people lives. Through her many years she was a beloved seamstress, which was her passion in life to sew. Not only did she enjoy sewing but her love of flowers was unlike anyone else’s. In her gardens there wasn’t a flower or plant she couldn’t grow, she was a true gardener with a green thumb that gave life to so much.
She was preceded in death by her parents Frank & Cora Smith as well as 2 grandchildren. She is survived by her husband Norman Armfield and her children James Mosley, Frank Mosley, Barbra Childers (Frank), Cora Cagle-Cox (Robert) and her chosen children Terri Heaton (Robert), Lorrie Taylor (Tim), Buddy Armfield. She was also survived by 17 grandchildren and 32 great grandchildren who she loved dearly.
A visitation will be held on Friday, April 28, 2023 from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm at Mary Elizabeth Baptist Church located at 3703 Mary Elizabeth Church Road in Waxhaw, NC. Funeral services will then be held at 2:00 pm also at Mary Elizabeth Baptist with committal immediately following at Lakeland Memorial Park. The family asks in lieu of flowers that you instead send a contribution to Hospice of Union County and/or Mary Elizabeth Baptist Church building fund.
