Mrs. Faye McManus Helms

She was born April 5, 1931 in Union County, NC, the daughter of the late Mr. Henry Cecil McManus and the late Mrs. Lola Yow McManus. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband: Lester Helms, Jr. who passed away in 2002; two brothers: Jim McManus and Allen McManus.

Mrs. Helms is survived by two daughters: Vicki Mullis and husband Bill of Great Falls, SC, Lynn Sherrin and husband Lynn of Pageland, SC; one brother: Roger Helms and wife Barbara of Indian Trail, NC; three brothers: Bill McManus of Lancaster, SC, Kenneth McManus and Norris McManus, both of Monroe, NC; five grandchildren: Robin Williamson, Randy Mullis, Michelle Mullis, Bryan Helms, and Ricky Sherrin; eight great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends and relatives for visitation Monday November 4, 2013 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 at McEwen Funeral Home in Monroe.

Funeral services to celebrate the life of Mrs. Helms will be 2:00 PM Tuesday November 5, 2013 in the Secrest Grove Baptist Church conducted by the Rev. Jeff Whitecotton, with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
