George W. Simpson

the late William Henderson and Mandy Jane Williams Simpson. He was also preceded in death by his wife Mrs. Ruby Couick Simpson, who died January 14, 2005, also four siblings. Mr. Simpson was a WWII Veteran and was retired from the N.C. Agricultural Department. Visitation will be Sunday, July 27, 2014 from 1:30 until 3:00 P.M. at the McEwen Funeral Home of Monroe, services to celebrate the life of George will begin at 3:00 P.M. in the McEwen Colonial Chapel, interment will follow at Lakeland Memorial Park with military rites. Survivors include two daughters: Phyllis S. Gordon (Ralph) of Asheville N.C., Patricia S. Tucker (Dan) of Apex N.C., four granddaughters: Adrienne Bowes of Waxhaw, N.C., Amanda Mason of Yadkinville N.C., Caitlin Tucker of Pittsboro N.C., Hannah Tucker of Raleigh, N.C., two great grandchildren: Owen Raymond, Emily Raymond both Yadkinville N.C.
