I believe Uncle Joseph was the brother of my father Samuel Weldon Larrimore. I regret that I had never met him as an adult.

Joe was my beloved pastor when I lived in Tarboro. Lost touch with his family. Hope to get in touch with family.

We are so sorry for the loss of Uncle Joe.  We know where he is and that he is probably already "consulting" with the angels.
 We were so blessed to have spent some time with Aunt Edith and Uncle Joe over the years.  Between her cooking and piano playing and his stories and singing, it was always a great visit.
It was a blessing for us to have been there for his home going service.
Please know that we will be praying for all of you as you face the loss of our beloved, Joe.

Mr. and Mrs. Larrimore were good friends of my Mom Lilia Montero, who passed away in 2014.  Mr. Larrimore was one of those privileged people who radiate kindness and reassurance without having to say any words. I know he will be missed by those he loved and by the people he touched. My sincere condolences to Mrs. Larrimore and her family.

You and your  family are in my thoughts and prayers.

I remember when this kind soul started children's sermons at our church. He had a deep, sweet love for the children. He leaves a lasting impact. Our condolences to the family.

He was my very special "Uncle Joe" and my mother's baby brother. Due to my growing up in California and his family being in NC, I only saw him once when I was young.  But he welcomed me and my first born into his home for several weeks when we were transferred over seas. After many years my own family was transferred to the east coast and the visits became more regular. My husband and 3 children loved getting to know him and Aunt Edith and all their cousins. He always had singing time for me when we got together. He taught me some of his old standard anthems that he loved to sing.....Sweet Little Jesus Boy  and  I Walked Today Where Jesus Walked, to name two. When we were together Uncle Joe would sing these especially for me.  Aunt Edith would play the piano and Uncle Joe and I would sing and harmonize to the hymns in the hymn book.

When my mother, his big sister --whom he called "Dottee"--went home to the Lord in 1998, he flew to California to be with the family for her service.  He delivered her eulogy and even thought ahead to make copies of the eulogy for us to have as a keepsake. He was one of the most kindhearted and loving men I have ever known! He was patient and sweet and a true southern gentleman. He was a scholar and a prayer warrior and you could depend on him to keep you in his prayers. He was a great preacher and I enjoyed listening to him preach. I will miss his voice; his singing; his smile; his big bear hugs and especially his love and prayers. 

He is now rejoicing in Heaven with our Lord Jesus Christ.  I have no doubt he is singing with my mom, his "Dottee" and they are harmonizing beautifully.  He has joined his parents and Grandma Larrimore is probably singing with them.  Please sing "In The Garden " once for me. All my love from one of your California nieces.
