Lara Christine Crumpton, Monroe High School class of 1987 and UNC Chapel Hill class of 1991, entered into her Lord and Savior's embrace on December 24. Her body is now as whole as her spirit, which never broke.
It would be easy to define her by her numerous physical ailments. She struggled with chronic, sometimes debilitating, pain for most of the past 15 years. But, that would be a disservice to the kind and giving person she actually was, someone who was as concerned for others as she was for herself. She was far more than her circumstance.
One of her greatest joys in life was being godmother to Brooke Pridgen Lunsford, Sabrina Pridgen, and Zachary Pridgen. Her memory and spirit will live on in you. The Pridgen family loved her as blood, and their example of caring is a blessing.
She is joyfully reunited with her mother, Doris, whom she missed dearly for the past eight years.
Surviving Lara are her father, Donald Crumpton; her brother, Chris Crumpton, of Clemmons, NC; her uncle and aunt, David and Linda Crumpton, of Kennesaw, GA; her cousins, Bill Crumpton and Scott Crumpton, of Kennesaw, GA; and numerous nieces and nephews, whom she loved dearly.
A memorial service is tentatively planned to be held at Lee Park Baptist Church in January.
