Mrs. Lionell Eva Todd McDonald

Mrs. Lionell Eva Todd McDonald, age 80, of Monroe, passed away January 6, 2014 at her home. She was born December 8, 1933, in Horry County, S.C., a daughter of the late Mr. Malcolm Dow Todd, Sr. and the late Mrs. Bessie Leona Prince Todd. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Mr. John William McDonald on January 21,1995.

She had worked as an Accountant with Pet Dairy Company and with A& D Accounting Company, she was also a member of Shiloh Baptist Church.

Survivors include (two) sons; Mr. John M. McDonald of Spartanburg, S.C. and Mr. Michael McDonald, of, Indian Trail, N.C., (one) sister; Mrs. Helen T. Cannon, & (one) brother; Mr. Malcolm “Todd” D. Todd, Jr. & wife Freda, all of Garden City, S.C., (3) grandchildren; Caitlin Roberts & husband, Seth, Courtney Kittel & husband, Scott, and Cole McDonald all of Spartanburg, S.C. and (3) great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends and relatives for visitation (Friday afternoon, January 10, 2014) from 12:30 P.M. until 1:45 P.M. at McEwen Funeral Home in Monroe.

Funeral services will be held (Friday afternoon, January 10, 2014) at 2:00 P.M. in the McEwen Colonial Chapel in Monroe, with entombment to follow in the Sharon Memorial Park Mausoleum in Charlotte, N.C..
