Mrs. Mamie Lee Tomberlin

Mrs. Mamie Lee Deese Davis Tomberlin, 90, born February 26, 1926, went to meet her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ early Friday morning on June 24, 2016, surrounded by the love and support of her family. The daughter of the late Isom and Mamie Broome Deese, she was also preceded in death by her loving daughter Wanda and her husband Jerry Horne, one granddaughter and one great grandson, siblings I.F., Neil, Ralph, Thelma, Willie Mae, Pauline and Mildred. Survivors include her two sons; Rick Davis (Kay), Joey Davis (Donna) both of Monroe, two daughters: Beth Fabiano (John) of Jacksonville, Fl., Trish Johnson (Jimmy) of Amelia Island Fl., her brother: Jack Deese, six grandchildren: Angie Flow, Scotte (Kris) Horne, Eric Davis (Rachel), Shannon Morabito (Brian), Mendi Mullis (Andy), Wendi Schroeder (Kersten), twelve great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren.

Mrs. Mamie was a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church of Monroe, previously a member at Smyrna Baptist Church of Pageland S.C., a member of the Order of Eastern Star, Pageland chapter 258. A loving, devout Christian, wonderful Mother and Grandmother, friend to all, and a joy to be around.

Visitation will be Sunday, June 26, 2016 from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. at the McEwen Funeral Home of Monroe. Services to celebrate the life of Mrs. Tomberlin will be Monday, June 27, 2016 at 2:00 P.M. at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church, 2524 Stack Rd., Monroe N.C. with Reverend Shad Hicks and Reverend Mack Mullis officiating, interment will follow in Lakeland Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church, 2524 Stack Rd., Monroe N.C. 28112.
