Peggy Jean Medlin, age 85, of Monroe, received her wings on April 3, 2017. She was born in Union County on July 30, 1931, daughter of the late Cassie Medlin. Peggy was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Carl Medlin; her daughter Carlene Medlin Collins.
She is survived by her sons Steve Medlin; Sheldon Medlin and families; her son Bridger Medlin and wife Heidi; her grandchildren, Madison and Miles Medlin, Tori and Jeremy Hough; great-grandchildren Lillian, Claire and Shepherd; sister, Elaine Hudson and husband, Jerry and her special friends and caregivers, Patsy and Mitch Hubbard.
The family will receive friends Thursday, April 6, 2017 at McEwen Funeral Home of Monroe from 2:00PM to 3:00PM, with the funeral service beginning at 3:00PM in McEwen’s Colonial Chapel. Interment will follow in Lakeland Memorial Park.
