Rachel was married to her beloved husband, John William Crook, for 67 ½ years, whom he still lovingly referred to her as his bride. When they decided to start a family they decided that she would become a homemaker, be with her children and raise them. She was a very devoted mother and grandmother. The sun rose and set in her family. After she had raised her children she then became Office Manager at the Union County Livestock Auction where she worked for 25 years.
Rachel is survived by her husband, John along with 3 of her children, Teressa Crook, Jerry Crook and his wife Cindy, whom she called her daughter as well, and Steven Crook and his husband Brad Platt, whom she called her son as well. She is also survived by her grandson, Shaun Crook and great grandsons, Tyler Crook and Blake Crook. She is also survived by her sisters, Shirley Helms, Linda (Gary) Webb, Elaine (Terry) Brooks and her brother Eddie Benton, as well as numerous nephews and nieces.
In lieu of flowers please consider making a donation in her name to your favorite charity.
