Thomas Ward Little

He was born March 22, 1940 in Mecklenburg County, NC, the son of the late Ward and Janie Elizabeth Price Little. Mr. Little was a Security Officer in Charlotte, NC.

In the past, he was very active in the Explorer Post 23 where he was known as “DooLittle”. He was also known for helping his wife with teaching the toddlers Sunday School Class at East Baptist Church.

Mr. Little is survived by his wife: Frances P. Little of the home; two daughters: Cheryl Little Maney and husband Johnny of Concord, NC and Frances Annette Little of Charlotte, NC; two grandchildren: Christopher Maney, Megan Maney Goss and husband Adam of Lexington, NC; one great grandchild: Luke Goss; one Brother- In- Law: Elijah “Jack” Parker of Waxhaw, NC; one special nephew: Dalton Michael Knight of Waxhaw, NC; one brother: Douglas Little and wife Gerrie of Charlotte, NC; one sister: Sheila Payne of Darlington, SC; numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends and relatives for visitation Thursday May 15, 2014 from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM at McEwen Funeral Home in Monroe, with funeral services to celebrate his life beginning at 2:00 PM in the McEwen Colonial Chapel, conducted by the Rev. John DeBell, with burial to follow in the Waxhaw Baptist Church Cemetery.
