
Mr. William Bruce Moser, 70, died December 1, 2010 at his residence. Mr. Moser was born February 10, 1940 in Union County N.C., son of the late Dewey Cleveland and Lydia Parker Moser; he was a retired General Contractor. He was a Army Paratrooper, graduating from the 82nd Airborne Division Jump School at Fort Bragg, he received his parachutist wings after completing four weeks of intensive ground and aerial training which included five parachute Jumps. Memorial services will be 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, December 8, 2010 at Sandy Ridge Baptist Church, with Dr. David Hayes officiating, interment will follow in the church cemetery, and visitation will follow the service in the church sanctuary. Survivors include three Daughters: Monica Moser Benton of Wingate, N.C., Kelly Moser of Monroe N.C., Leslie Moser Barbee and husband Sean of Stanfield N.C., two sons: Bruce Cleveland Moser and wife Julie of Monroe N.C., Jeff Jones and wife Tammy of Waxhaw N.C., ten grandchildren: Phillip Jones, Kasey Jones, Hailee Jones, Jake Benton, Jessica Benton, Alyssa Moser, Kristin Moser, Caleb Moser, Ramsee Barbee and Shelbee Barbee, two great grand children: Landon Jones and Hope Jones, two sisters: Dorothy Moser Plyler and husband Aaron of Monroe N.C., Carolyn Moser Davis of Florida, one Brother: Dewey Douglas Moser of South Carolina. Memorials may be made to the National Rifle Association of America, 11250 Waples Mill Rd., Fairfax Va. 22030. The family will be at the home of Dot and Aaron Plyler, 2705 Skyway Drive, Monroe N.C. 28110. McEwen Funeral and Cremation Service of Monroe is serving the family of Mr. Moser.
