Annie Chambers Short, 78, a resident of Montgomery, AL, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, March 30, 2016. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and wife. Annie was a long time member of Eastern Hills Baptist Church. She is survived by sons, Mike (Debbie) and Todd; grandchildren, Felicia (Bobby) Long and Whitney (Michael) Lucas; mother-in-law Dixie Chambers; sister-in-law, Sue Lenoir, and family; and sister-in-law Myra (Crawford) Dees, and family. She was preceded in death by her parents, Clyde and Irona Lenoir; brother Layton Lenoir; first husband Don Chambers of 43 years and second husband Jim Short of four years. Visitation will be held Saturday, April 2, 2016 from 10:00a.m.-11:00a.m. at Eastern Hills Baptist Church, 3604 Pleasant Ridge Road, Montgomery, AL. A Memorial/Celebration of Life Service will begin at 11:00a.m. on April 2nd at Eastern Hills Baptist Church. Rev. Rick Marshall will officiate. Annie will then lie-in-state at Mount Carmel #2 Baptist Church, 13078 County Road 16, Maplesville, AL from 2:30p.m.-3:30p.m. Burial will follow immediately thereafter at Mount Carmel #2.
