Eloise Jo Mullins

MULLINS, Eloise “Ellie” Jo Shull, 97, a resident of Wetumpka, AL, died on Thursday, July 14, 2022, at Baptist East Hospital. Ellie was born on June 26, 1925 in Kansas and graduated from Dighton High School and Colorado Women’s College. She married her husband, William H. Mullins, on June 2, 1951. She worked as an accountant for several years until devoting her time to raising her daughter, Erin. Ellie was an active runner for many years and loved to sew, play piano, crochet, and garden. Her wonderful sense of humor, unceasing determination, and genuine kindness made her loved by all who knew her. She was a member of Frazer Church for close to 50 years. She is survived by her grandsons and daughters-in-law, Calvin and Anna Chappelle and their sons Quinn and Finis; Will and Natalie Chappelle and their daughters Audrey and Erin; her nieces Jo Ellyn Beck and Susan Mardock; nephews Richard and Phillip Shull; and nephews Bob, Doug, Bruce, and David Berky. She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, William H. Mullins; daughter, Erin Mullins Ivins; siblings Dwight, Maxine, and Carolyn; and parents, Iris and Joe Shull. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 20 at 11 a.m. at the Alabama Heritage Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Alabama Heritage Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services.
