He is preceded in death by his father, Guy Don Cutting Sr.; half brother, Brad Cutting; and grandparents, Mr. & Mrs. Bradley Cutting and Mr. & Mrs. S.R. Huffman. He is survived by his mother, Joyce Ann Huffman Cutting DePriest; stepfather, Wilson DePriest; as well as numerous cousins, aunts, and uncles.
Guy was a music lover and he played the guitar as well as the piano. He also loved reading and writing, even starting his own novel. He loved all categories of reading material and was driven in reading by his love for research. Guy was also known for working with computers. He received his Bachelors at the University of Alabama and went on to receive his Masters during his time living in Portland, Oregon.
A Celebration of Life and Memorial will be held at a later date in Oregon.
