Herb served four years in the United States Air Force during Desert Storm as a jet engine mechanic and also served in the Honor Guard. He worked in grocery management with Winn Dixie for twenty years and was currently employed with the Food Outlet.
He was preceded in death by his father, Herbert Allen Heary, Sr. He is survived by his loving wife of 23 years, Kristie Heary; two children, Emma Heary and William Heary; mother, Linda Heary; two sisters, Melinda (Jay) Davilla and Kristin (Chris) Bauer.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 2, 2021 at Alabama Heritage Cemetery Garden Mausoleum. There will be no visitation.
In lieu of flowers memorial can be made in his honor to Amedisys Hospice of Montgomery.
