

JAMES, Howard Franklin “Frank”, 82, went home to be with his Lord on Sunday, August 28, at the age of 82. He was born on October 19, 1928, in Grenada, Mississippi, to the late Howard Clarence and Elva McCuiston James. He is survived by his loving and faithful wife of 60 years, Faye Bowen James; three children, Mike James (Charlotte) Steve James, and Kay James McCoy (Michael); one brother, John Mack James (Bobbie); five grandchildren, Brandon James (Melissa), Shelby James, Stephanie James Carlos (Jon), Christopher James, and Kristyn Vickers Dykes (Jeremiah); two step-grandchildren, and many relatives. Frank was a World War II Veteran that served in the Army Special Services, Pacific, Japan. His joys in his life were his faith, family, gardening, numerous outdoor activities, and traveling. He was a longtime member of Eastern Hills Baptist Church. His memory will be cherished. Visitation will be at Alabama Heritage Funeral Home on Wednesday, August 31, 2011, from 5-7 PM. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, September 1, 2011, at 11 AM, at Alabama Heritage Funeral Home Chapel, with Dr. Rick Marshall officiating, followed by a graveside service. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral service. Pallbearers will be Michael McCoy, Christopher James, Jeremiah Dykes, Brandon James, Jon Carlos, and Hunter Mills.
