

Funeral Services for Mrs. E’Wanna Thompson, 82, who entered into rest, October 22, 2016, will be conducted Saturday morning at 11 o’clock from Frazer United Methodist Church. Dr. John Ed Mathison officiating. Interment will follow in the Alabama Heritage Cemetery.
Mrs. Thompson was a native of Nashville, GA, having made Montgomery, AL her home for the past 46 years. She was a member of Frazer United Methodist Church where she enjoyed fellowshipping with her church family and worshiping the Lord. Mrs. Thompson was active in her Sunday school class, the church choir and served as church secretary for 20 years. She had a passion for traveling and was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Mrs. Thompson was preceded in death by her parents, Troy and Kathleen Harris; her first husband, James T. Lucas and her second husband and former minister of Frazer United Methodist Church, Rev. Jack Thompson.
Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Terry and Laurie Lucas, San Antonio, TX, Steve and Kristi Lucas, North Augusta, SC; a daughter, Tami Carpenter, Madison, AL; eight grandchildren, Jon Lucas, Jennifer Lucas, Jim (Jessica) Lucas, Andy (Meghan) Lucas, Troy Lucas, Tabetha (Wayne) Wall, Clifford Carpenter, Alex Zervos; six great-grandchildren; a sister and brother-in-law, Darla and Charles Matthews, Waycross, GA.
The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service.
