
Worley, James “Jim”, husband, father, grandfather and devout Christian, went to be with the Lord on August 20, 2012. Jim was born in Washington, DC on October 27, 1954, and spent most of his career as an officer in the U. S. A. F. before retiring in 1996. Besides doing the Lord’s work, nothing brought him more joy than playing music and spending time with his family. He married Patty Brown on April 13, 1974, and they lived in Italy and all over the U. S. before moving to Montgomery in 1991. Jim was a proud graduate of The University of Kentucky and the Air Force Institute of Technology. He was ordained in and pastored for the Church of God, and was active in evangelism work with Frazer Memorial UMC. Jim was preceded in death by his father, James Worley, Sr., and his his mother, Wayneoka Worley. He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Patty; his son, James III and daughter-in-law, Sarah; daughter, Dusti Folmar and son-in-law Christian; son-in-law Ben Chuang; grandchildren, Roland, Alex, Zoe, Charlotte, Jacob and Hannah; brother, Mike and sister-in-law, Sandy; sister, Susan Booth; and a host of family and friends. Visitation will be at 9:30 a.m. on Friday, August 24, 2012 in the Parlor at Frazer Memorial UMC in Montgomery, with the memorial service following at 11 a.m. Any military members who can attend in uniform are encouraged to do so. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Frazer UMC, “In Christ’s Way” Fund.
