Very sadden by the news. Mr Doiron was my first supervisor as a Civilian. He was very carrying and always paid attention to the smallest details and helped me with my transition from the military/contracting world. God bless his family and all those he left behind.

John was a great friend and colleague.  I cherished the times he was willing to dig into a challenge and collaborate on a solution.  He was always willing to give of his time to find the best solution for the AF.  His wit was always present in meetings and during social events, and it would easy any tension in the room. 
I will miss his wisdom, his insight, his smile, and his hand reaching across the miles always willing to partner to make us all better!

John, my dear friend. Thank you for the great times we were able to share together at the 26th NOS and when you came to my retirement ceremony. We spent so many hours in that tiny office off the ops floor, sharing laughs, and making the best out of whatever challenge was ahead. "Crazy talk" is what I remember you saying whenever the good idea fairy would come to visit. All the hours, but never enough time to spend with you. Thank you for the time we did share. Miss you buddy! All the best to your family and friends as we hold your loving memory in our hearts.

I worked with John for the two years I was assigned to the 26 NOS and he was a mentor to me during those years. Even though we only worked together for those two years, he made a positive impact on me and helped make me a better officer. His passion and generosity will be missed. I know that his impact to the Air Force and our nation's defense will live on.

My condolences and prayers for family, friends and colleagues of John. I had the opportunity to attend conferences, meetings and work many sessions with John while supporting the 26th NOS mission. His vital knowledge, presence and involvement will be heavily missed and irreplaceable. I appreciated John's open communication, leadership and opportunity to have some fun on the golf course. 
May God give comfort throughout these circumstances and may the many warm memories keep his spirit alive.

I have had the pleasure of working with John on a few projects for the last couple years. He was a seasoned expert in his field and a great leader. He will be remembered and missed not just as a professional, but also as a wonderful person - he was very kind and funny! I have always remembered that he went out of his way to encourage me when I was a very new AF engineer finding my way, which meant a lot to me. My deepest condolences to his family, friends, and colleagues at the 26 NOS.

John was an exceptional person and leader-servant. He always put others and the mission before himself. I’m deeply grateful for his service, knowing him as a fellow Airman and friend, and am deeply saddened that we lost him too early. My thoughts and prayers for his friends and family.

I recently started working with the Air Force in the IT field. My team and Mr. Doiran's team were very much in sync. As a new employee, I had many questions, but I was hesitant to ask them. I met John over a phone call, and he was extremely kind and helpful. He was the only one I had corresponded with for many months thereafter. He was simply the go-to guy to get stuff done and to provide valuable insight. My hope is that he knew how much he was valued. John was one of my first impressions of an exemplary veteran and civilian airman. My sincerest condolences to his family.

I am so deeply sorry for your loss.  John was a very wonderful and kind person.  He shared his wisdom and knowledge with so many people and positively impacted so many lives including mine.  

I was so shocked and heart broken when I heard the news.  I did not even know he had health issues.  

I met John when I started working at the 26 NOS.  We go a long ways back…2007 since we were contractors working for General Dynamics.  He took care and guided me throughout my 14 years as a government employee.  At one point he was my supervisor.  He encouraged me and guided me in everything that I did.  He always helped me on everything, whether it be the reports or projects or anything that had to do with supervision.

I don’t think I can imagine the 26 NOS without John.  He was always there not just for the job but always there for everything from hanging pictures to painting to installing comm equipment.  He will be missed a lot! His memory will live on!

Unfortunately,  I am out of town and won’t be able to make it to his memorial service to say my final goodbye.  

“Those we love can never be more than a thought away.  For as long as there is a memory, they live in our hearts to stay.”

May your memories with John give you comfort during this difficult time.  Thank you for sharing John with us.  

I will always be grateful for all the things that he had done for me during my time at the 26 NOS.

John, I will always cherish you and may you rest in peace!

John was always highly regarded by us. My father praised him. They also shared close birthdays. He will always be remembered as a family man who took life seriously enough to get things done, joined with the joys of family, sports, and music. 

Our hearts go out to family and friends.
