Patrick Emanuel Cousins

Patrick Emanuel Cousins, age 73, passed away at home surrounded by his family on Monday, March 1, 2021. A true American hero, he joined the US AIr Force in 1966, and served our country in 2 tours of Vietnam, only volunteering to serve a second tour so his younger brother would not have to go overseas. He was awarded the Bronze Star. Patrick retired in 1991, after 25 years of service to our great nation. He was a member of Chestnut Grove Baptist Church in Grayson, Georgia, and enjoyed spending time with his family. He also loved fishing and bowling. He will be missed by all who knew him. Survivors include his loving wife of 49 years, Chiou Cousins; children, Bill Cousins (Denise), Patrick Cousins, Jr (Amanda), Maryanne Ramage (Chris); grandchildren, Austin Ramage (Tatum), Alex Ramage, Karen Cousins, Emily Cousins, Kourtney Gore, Dakota Gore; mother, Bettye J. Cousins; brothers, Jimmy Cousins and Larry Cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, Curtis E. Cousins; his granddaughter, Kaitlyn Ramage; and his brother, Arthur “Buddy” Cousins.

Visitation will be on Thursday, March 4, 2021 at 10:00am at Alabama Heritage Funeral Home with a Chapel Service at 11:00am. Private burial will follow at Alabama National Cemetery in Montevallo, Alabama.
