

Mr. Thomas Winfrey Oliver V, peacefully passed away on Sunday, November 1st in Montgomery, Alabama. He was 68. A lifelong resident of Montgomery, Mr. Oliver was the son of the late Thomas W Oliver IV and Angelyn Dixon. He is also survived by his sister, Francis Holmes. Mr. Oliver graduated from Lanier High School and attended Auburn University where he received his degree in Civil Engineering. He had a successful career as a Civil Engineer, owning his company for over 25 years. Mr. Oliver is survived by Susan S Oliver, his life-long love and wife of 45 years. Mr. Oliver is also survived by his 3 children, Thomas W Oliver VI and his wife, Brandie; Millie Phillips and her husband Kyle; and Mary Katherine Skipworth. He was known as “Tom-Tom” by his 5 grandchildren, Aniston, Oliver and Walker Skipworth as well as Isabella and Thomas W Oliver VII. Mr. Oliver loved to read, write and spend quality time outdoors hunting and fishing. More than anything, he loved spending time with his family. He was a member of First United Methodist Church, a place he loved to spend time and grow his faith.
A graveside service will be held at Alabama Heritage Cemetery at 11:00 a.m., where all pandemic protocols will apply.
In lieu of flowers memorials can be made in his honor to the First United Methodist Church.
