Alma was a sassy, tell-it-like-it-is kind of woman who never cared much for fuss or fanfare—she preferred to keep life simple and straightforward. Strong-willed and independent, she stood her ground and took care of herself and those she loved all the way until her passing at the remarkable age of 101. Beneath her blunt honesty was a truly beautiful soul who was deeply loved by her family. Her sharp wit, candid remarks, and perfectly timed one-liners will forever be cherished by her grandson, grandbabies, and great-grandbaby, who knew that every word came from a place of love.
Those left to cherish her beautiful memory are her grandson, Andros Williams and his wife, Jennifer; three grandchildren, Antonio Williams, Selena Gaspard, and Marlie Carter; and one great grandchild, Eleanor "Elli" Gaspard.
She was reunited in heaven with her husband, John E. Williams Sr; her parents, Walter and Jenella Barrow; her son, John E. Williams Jr. and her daughter-in-law, Elizabeth B. Williams.
In keeping with Alma's wishes, her services will be held privately by the family. Please keep them in your thoughts and prayers.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Hargrave Funeral Home of Morgan City, LA.
