Brian was a genuinely happy man whose calm, patient nature defined the way he lived and loved—he was never known to be angry and was endlessly giving of himself. Above all, he was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather who adored his grandchildren, his godchildren, and the many children he naturally welcomed into his life as his own. A dedicated provider, Brian built a strong career as a manager in the sugar industry before starting his own successful company, which he proudly passed on to his only son, B. He was unfailingly supportive of his family and found great joy in caring for them, especially through cooking—there was no single signature dish, as everything he made was exceptional, particularly his authentic Cajun favorites like gumbo. Brian also cherished time spent golfing with his buddies, playing weekly card games with friends, cheering on his beloved LSU teams, and enjoying the outdoors at the camp, where he felt most at peace.
Those left to cherish Brian’s wonderful memory are his wife of 43 amazing years, Lacy Francis Louviere; one son, Brian “B” Louviere II and his wife, Bailey; three grandchildren, Kenzie Louviere, Brooks Louviere and Knox Louviere; and two siblings, Chris Louviere and Missy Louviere. He is also survived by his godchildren and honorary adopted grandchildren, Jason Louviere, Daisey Picheloup, Mikey Payton, Taya Evivie, Cullen Evivie, and Ollie Picheloup.
He was reunited in heaven with his parents, Lawrence and Annabelle Louviere; his mother-in-law, Joann Francis; and his godchild & nephew, Russell Francis.
Services for Brian are currently pending at this moment.
The family would like to express their deep gratitude to Miss Jeanie, Tim Guillory, Alvin LaPointe, Jim “Twister” Williams, and all his St. Mary golf crew & card buddies for being such an important part of Brian’s life.
Arrangements are entrusted to Hargrave Funeral Home of Morgan City, Louisiana.
