Catherine was known as the shy, quiet young lady, with beautiful crystal blue eyes, a sweet demeanor and a pretty smile. She patiently and quietly observed life as she gently navigated through childhood with 12 siblings and parents, John and Marion Cramer. Catherine was born in Memphis,TN, moving to South Louisiana as a child, with a permanent stop in Morgan City. She ultimately joined Immanuel Baptist Church with her family.
One day, she caught the eye of a bashful young man who had been discreetly admiring the pretty blue eyed blonde, new to the small community and his Church. The hand holding began and on October 28,1965, Catherine married the love of her life, Larry J. Daigle, beginning her lifelong calling of being a Housewife, Mother and Grandmother. The Blessed marriage prevailed 59 years, obeying God’s Words of “for better or worse, for richer or poorer, in sickness and health”, until death did part them. From the early days of hand holding until their last days together, Catherine and Larry could be seen holding hands, as she was his forever Sweetheart. Larry was her Primary Caregiver for the last five years of Catherine’s 77 year journey on earth. Their union was Blessed with four children; Annette Daigle-Denny and husband Bob of Mississippi, Patrick Daigle(deceased), Denise Daigle of Napoleonville,LA., and Karen Daigle and Significant Other, Mike of Reno, Nevada.
Alongside her husband, Larry, and their three children, Catherine also leaves behind seven beautiful grandchildren and two sweet great grandchildren. She is survived by four sisters; Margaret, Linda, Barbara, and Martha.
She was preceded in death by her son Patrick Daigle, her parents John & Marion Cramer, her husband’s parents, Norman & Leona Daigle, two sisters, Angela and Claire and six brothers, Jesse, David, Charles, Daniel, John Jr., and Joseph.
