Mr. Joseph Kendal Brown, 86, a native of Morgan City passed away at his home Friday, April 8, 2011 surrounded by his loving family.
Joseph was a veteran of World War II serving his country prior to his marriage to Gladys Simmons that lasted over 60 years. He was a quiet man, he enjoyed watching sports on television, riding around town and visiting his many friends. He retired from Sunoco Oil and spent his remaining years enjoying his family and grand and great-grand children.
He is survived by one son, Bruce Brown and his wife Barbara of Morgan City, seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Joseph was preceded in death by his parents Eugene John and Dorothy Williams Brown, his wife Gladys Simmons Brown, a son Blaine Brown, three brothers and three sisters.
A graveside service for Joseph was held Saturday, April 9, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at the Morgan City Mausoleum.
