Joyce was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great-great grandmother and friend, the very foundation of her family. She devoted her life to caring for her children and loved ones, always thinking of others and ready to lend a helping hand. A fantastic cook, she made sure no one ever left her table hungry; her white beans were a treasured family favorite, simply the best and the whitest beans you ever saw. Quiet, soft-spoken, gentle, modest, and deeply considerate, Joyce never forgot the importance of saying thank you. She began each day with a cup of coffee…sometimes two or three…and carried that same warmth into all she did. She also enjoyed fishing, finding peace and simple happiness out on the water. Growing up, she cherished playing games with her family, creating beautiful memories that lasted a lifetime. She was a wonderful singer who loved making music with her husband, Norman. Together they filled their home with song, bringing joy to everyone who listened. Joyce and Norman shared 75 years together as childhood sweethearts; Norman often told the story of how, as a young teenager riding the school bus, he declared that one day he would marry her…..and he did.
Those left to cherish Joyce’s wonderful memory are her husband of 75 years, Norman “Peck” Percle Sr.; three children, Randy Percle and his wife, Sandra, Ginger Hebert and her husband, Steve, and Wendy Percle and her significant other, Deanie Foster; four grandchildren; five great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
She was reunited in heaven with her two children, Norman Percle Jr. and Gregory Percle; one grandchild, Corey Percle; her parents, Theodore and Hattie Mire and four siblings, Curtis Mire, Ruth Ashley, Jerry Mire, and Jane Chustz.
