Rickey, a true Cajun Outlaw, was a man who lived life with a passion for the outdoors—always preferring the quiet of the water over the hustle of land. Whether hunting, fishing, or just out on the bayou, Rickey was in his element. He embodied the spirit of a Coon Ass, with a heart full of humor, charisma, and a straightforward nature that made everyone around him laugh. Rickey’s bluntness was always softened by his infectious sense of humor. He had a knack for making every moment feel like an adventure, and he never met a stranger. To those who knew him, he was a once-in-a-lifetime kind of person—impossible to forget, and impossible to replace.
Rickey’s greatest loves were his wife, children, and grandchildren. His family was his pride and joy, and the love he had for them was clear in everything he did. Though Rickey may no longer be with us, his spirit, his laughter, and the memories he created will live on forever in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing him.
Those left to cherish Rickey’s wonderful memory is his wife, Danica Gros; his son Rickey Gros Jr.(Danielle); daughter,Camellia Scivicque(Joseph); his sisters, Annette "Baby" Gaspard, Diane Verret(Howard), Gloria Domingue(Jap), Melissa Loga(Brian),Mandy Cavalier(Bradley Sr.) and Sharon Gary; his brothers Gregory Sr., Rene Jr.(Kim), Gary, Dwain (Rachelle), and Roger; 9 grandchildren Landon, Gage, Christian, Dominic, Jobby, Hadleigh, Carmen, Ava, Gracie, Sadie, and another grandbaby on the way, Baby Baylie.
