

Cynthia “Cindy” Lou (McDonald) Link, 69, of Twin Lake, Michigan, passed away on Sunday, May 18, 2025 at Muskegon Trinity Health. Cindy was born to the late Charles Audley McDonald and Ruthella Ann (Alford) McDonald on June 3, 1955, in Midland, Michigan.
Cindy attended Tri-City Seventh-Day Adventist School for grades 1 thru 9. She then attended Cedar Lake Adventist Academy, now known as Great Lakes Adventist Academy, where she met Brent Link during their sophomore year of high school. On December 1, 1973, Brent and Cindy married in North Muskegon.
In 1974 their first born arrived, Jason. The following year (1975), Jennifer “Jenny” was born. They shared a home in North Muskegon until 1980 when they moved to Twin Lake, Michigan. Much to the surprise of everyone a third child arrived 21 years later. In 1996 Sam was born.
Cindy helped support the family through her employment in light industry working with small electronics and assembly. In the 1980s she joined her husband to assist the family business, Link Contractors. This began a 30-year career in construction, building homes, pouring concrete, and operating heavy equipment such as dump trucks, bulldozers, and front-end loaders.
Cindy is survived by her husband of 51 years, Brent Link of Twin Lake, Michigan. She is also survived by her three children: Jason and Rambi Link, Jennifer (Link) Carter, and Sam Link. Cindy leaves behind six grandchildren and one great-grandchild, with two more expected later in 2025. She is also survived by her sister-in-law Debbie McDonald, sister Dixie (McDonald) Chaffee, and brother-in-law Scott Chaffee. She was preceded in death by her parents, and brother, Jack McDonald.
Services will be held at the Muskegon Seventh-Day Adventist Church on Thursday, May 22nd. Visitation with the family will begin at 11:00 AM. A memorial service will be held at noon.
