Dale was born and raised in Muskegon, Michigan, on November 5, 1956, to Marvin Cliffton and Helen Martha (Brown) Kersting.
Dale was a devoted and hardworking individual who rarely took a day off from work. His dedication extended beyond just his job; he was a compassionate and loving family man who always prioritized the well-being of his loved ones. Dale radiated joy through his many passions—whether he was cooking up a delicious meal, spending quiet moments by the water while fishing, or savoring the beauty of a sunset, he found happiness in the simplest of things. With a keen eye for antiques, he loved the thrill of discovering hidden treasures at garage sales, each find telling a story of its own. A loyal supporter of the Detroit Tigers and Lions, Dale also cherished laughter, believing it to be one of life's greatest gifts. His warm spirit and genuine nature touched the hearts of those around him.
Dale leaves behind a broken-hearted family who will cherish the laughter and good times they shared. He is survived by his sisters, Shirley (Darell) Miller of Florida, Deborah (Bob) Cook of Muskegon, Diane (Michael) Erb of Muskegon; his brother, Marvin (Cheri) Kersting of Fruitport; and several grandchildren. He is also remembered by many loving nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.
Dale was reunited in death with his parents, grandparents, and his beloved son, Trent, as well as his nephew, Brian, and niece, Mandy.
A cremation has taken place, and a celebration of life will be held at a later date.
The family would like to thank everyone for their love and support during this difficult time.
