

Eddie Mae Beal, age 108, passed away on Monday, October 5, 2015. She was born on June 1, 1907 in Ripley, Tennessee to parents Andrew and Amanda (Sangster) Williams. Eddie was a governess for the Tyler family and she provided loving care for two generations. Prior to moving to Roosevelt Park Nursing & Rehabilitation, Eddie resided at her home in Muskegon Heights for 55 years. She spent more than 50 of those years sharing her home with her niece Dorothy (and husband Christopher) Miller. Eddie was an active member at Zion Baptist church in Muskegon for many years. She was an avid reader and read the Muskegon Chronicle every day. Eddie also enjoyed working in her flower gardens and doing crossword puzzles. Eddie will be lovingly remembered by her nieces: Margrett Glenn, Claudia Biagas, and Sue Glenn; great nieces and nephews: Tamara (Peter Masciola) Miller, Kevin Miller, Reginald (Vivian) Glenn, Gregory (Anbria) Glenn, Jane Green, Charles (Sandra) Burns, Jr., and Glenda (James) Demoss; great-great nieces and nephews: Tamara Masciola, Kevin Masciola, Abria Glenn, Tamara Green, Kelly Green, Kaysee Glenn, Julius Burns, Denzel Burns, Maya Burns, and Tametra Burns. She was preceded in death by both parents; her husband, Newton Beal; sisters: Hilda, Clara, and Cindy; and brother: Andrew. Eddie’s family would like to give special and heartfelt thanks to the staff and administration at Roosevelt Park Nursing Center and Atrium Centers for their loving care over the past five years. A celebration of Eddie’s life will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, October 10, 2015 at Ever Rest Funeral Home & Chapel (1783 E. Keating Ave., Muskegon). Inurnment will take place immediately following at Sunrise Memorial Gardens.
