Ed was born December 12, 1956, the son of Vincent and Nancy (Bray) Miller of Grand Haven, and was the oldest of their four children. Ed was blessed with three magical daughters of his own and three more daughters with his marriage to Kimberly Rose on October 23, 1997.
Ed has always been a hard worker. Through the years he worked as a cab driver and as a manager at several industrial places in town. He retired in April and was enjoying working in his garage and in his yard. Ed planted a beautiful garden this year which will continue to grow and nourish his family through the harvest season.
He loved being outdoors and traveling, especially on his motorcycle. Ed would spend his younger years being wild and free, hitch-hiking his way to the U.P. to visit family and friends. Ed often was in his garage working on projects or the family vehicles. He found so much joy being out by the water fishing as often as he could.
Ed was funny, kind, full of life and laughter. He was a fighter too, Ed was a recovered alcoholic and a cancer survivor. Ed was so strong all the way through to the end of his life. He was loved and will be missed deeply by those who hold many wonderful memories of him.
Ed is survived by his wife, Kim; his daughters, Erica Rose, Crystal Miller, Amber Therese (Miller), Alisha Miller, Mariah Rose, Gabrielle Rose, and 10 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, an older half brother, and his grandson, Kaleb Iversen.
Per Ed’s final wishes, cremation is taking place and no public services will be held. A private farewell ceremony will take place river-side to honor his life, body and spirit as he is returned to our sacred earth.
