Gregory C. Nelson, 65, passed away on July 30, 2019 in Muskegon, MI, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on April 1st, 1954 to C. Thomas and Barbara (Venlet) Nelson. Greg spent his life in Muskegon, graduating from Orchard View High School in 1973 and working 29 years at Sun Chemical. He married "the best part of his life" Renelda (Nel) Patino on October 1st, 1976.
She survives him along with their daughter Stephanie (Jeremie) Foster, bonus daughter Brenda Hansen and 4 granddaughters, Kelsie, Bailey, Vanessa and Quinn. He also has a brother Kevin John Nelson (Muskegon), sister Susan (Larry) Hovey (Arizona), along with numerous nieces and nephews. Greg was proceeded in death by his parents and brothers Michael Wayne Nelson and Thomas B. Nelson.
Greg loved and was devoted to his family, loved working on his yard, doing home projects, grilling, hanging out with Nel, ALL things University of Michigan, his beloved MAUI...and above all else, being a Grandpa.
A private Family service will be held at Living Life Church, with Pastor Jeff Yandell officiating, on Friday August 2, 2019 at 11:00am
