Jerome Edward Gonzalez

Jerome Edward Gonzalez, age 55, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, November 5, 2013. Jerome was full of life and enjoyed many activities. He loved all sports: UofM, Detroit Lions, Detroit Red Wings, and going to White Caps baseball games. Jerome enjoyed traveling, especially in his brother-in-laws red Trans Am, and spending time with his in-laws, nieces and nephews. He cherished talking to his brother Poncho on the phone and visiting him in Arizona. Jerome will be lovingly remembered by his grandmother, Geraldine Jackson; aunt, Maria Ruize; father, Prudencio Gonzalez; siblings: Geraldine (Roger) Zeller, Joyce (Junior) Sherrell, Marcella (Dale) Schindlbeck, Ella (Heladio Salinas) Gonzalez, Prudencio (Shelly) Gonzalez of Arizona, Darlene Gonzalez, Karen (Mark) Lampman, Kathie (Kevin) Humphrey, Lisa Gonzalez; several nieces and nephews; friends and staff at Morningside Home. He was preceded in death by his mother, Geraldine McIntire; aunt, Mary Sharllow; uncle, Mike Jackson; grandpa, Mitchell Jackson; nephew, Keith Sherrell. Jerome will be missed by all. A funeral service will be held at 3:00pm on Friday, November 8, 2013 at Ever Rest Funeral Home & Chapel (1783 E. Keating Ave., Muskegon). The family will receive visitors on Friday beginning at 1:00pm until the time of service. Interment to follow at Sunrise Memorial Gardens.
