Jesse James VanVleet

Jesse James VanVleet arrived into this world on March 19th, 2022, under emergency circumstances, he weighed in at a whopping 1 lb 3 oz 11.8 in long at 25 weeks gestation. Jesse passed away on November 6, 2022, peacefully in the arms of his parents, surrounded by family. He was 13 days shy of 8 months.

Jesse would continue to struggle and fight during his journey over the next 7 and 1/2 months, he was a warrior. He was able to visit home two times in his short life. These times Ashley, Justis, and Raelynn were able to be whole as a family. There will be many firsts to overcome – Thanksgiving is just around the corner and family Christmas will now have a sizeable void. His first birthday will now be spent in Heaven, instead of with his family smashing cake and opening presents. As we remember the short life of Jesse, we know he did his best! No more tubes, no more machines, or buzzing alarms. He is now at peace, playing in the clouds of Heaven.

Jesse will forever be remembered by: his loving parents Ashley and Justis; big sister, Raelynn; paternal grandparents, Robert and Joann; maternal grandfather, Bruce Uhl Sr.; as well as, a host of aunts, uncles and cousins.

Jesse was proceeded in death by: his maternal grandma, Michelle; and Uncle Boo Boo.

Jesse may you be held by our Lord in heaven, as we hold you here on Earth in our hearts.

A Celebration of Jesse’s life will be held on Sunday, December 4th, 2022 from 1:00pm to 4:00pm at the Fruitport Eagles, 3354 S Dangl Rd, Muskegon, MI 49444.
