Joan Darcy Hill, age 79, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, June 5, 2014. Joan was born in Muskegon on June 8, 1934 to parents Milton and Cecile (Clark) Phelps. She was a member at Evanston Avenue Baptist Church. Joan was a very loving and caring woman to all of her family. Joan will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 61 years, DuWayne Hill; children: DuWayne Hill, Jr. of KY, Richard Hill of IN, Stephen Hill of MI, Craig Hill of FL, Randy Hill of NC, Milton (Gina) Hill of FL; 16 grandchildren; several great grandchildren; siblings: Leila (Gilbert) Hill, Sharon (Gary) Potter, Tom Phelps. She was preceded in death by both parents; sister, Pat Brooks; daughters: Linda Lundquist, Jacqueline Eschman. A funeral service will take place at 11:00am on Thursday, June 12, 2014 at Ever Rest Funeral Home & Chapel (1783 E. Keating Ave., Muskegon). The family will receive visitors one hour prior to the service beginning at 10:00am. Interment at Egelston Township Cemetery. Contributions may be given to Harbor Hospice in memory of Joan.
