Joyce was born July 25, 1940, the daughter of Carl and Edna Johnson. She worked several jobs in her life and was proud of her family and life she created. She enjoyed being with her neighborhood Lunch Bunch, and was a member of First Wesleyan Church of Muskegon. She enjoyed playing cards, planning parties, arts and crafts, and most of all being with her family. She was a loving, caring woman who will be deeply missed.
Joyce is survived by: her son, Duane (Julie Auble-Koomen) Koomen; grandchildren, Joshua Brown, Jacob (Autumn) Brown, Amanda (Jon) Wilder, and Blake (Nellie) Auble; 6 great- grandchildren; brother, Daniel (Janet Sowles) Johnson; sister, Kay Lewis; several nieces; and special caretaker, Jackie Gritsmaker.
She was preceded in death by: her daughter, Victoria Brown; her parents; several close aunts; father of her children, Wallace Koomen; and brother-in-law, Alvin Lewis.
In keeping with her wishes, cremation will take place and a memorial service will take place at a later date.
