Lavern Marvin Borreson

He was born on October 12, 1925 in Kaukauna, WI to Melvin and Esther Borreson. Vern proudly served his country in the United States Air Corp. Soon after, he married the love of his life, Irene, on July 3, 1948. Vern worked as a Wood Patternmaker. He was a member of the Dr. Martin Luther Evangelical Lutheran Church and the Sons of Norway. Vern enjoyed spending time with family, travelling, camping, golfing, fishing and playing pool. He was also an avid photographer and was a fan of the Cubs and Red Wings. Vern tried his best to help others; to lead a Christian life; and to be an example for his family.

Vern was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Irene; grandson, Christopher Borreson; and his sisters; Alice Ellis, and Audrey Raymond. He is survived by his children, Randy (Cindy) Borreson, Lawrence (Vicki) Borreson, and Polly (Michael) Eagle; grandchildren, Robert (Meredith) and Tim (Sam) Borreson, Jonathan (Melissa) and Sarahann Borreson, and Bryan and Derek Eagle; great grandchildren, Emily, Natalie, Jon Jon, Ginny, Teddy, and Cambri; brother, Jerry (Evelyn) Borreson, and many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.

A memorial service for Vern will be Saturday, January 30, 2016 at 11am at Dr. Martin Luther Evangelical Lutheran Church; 1860 E. Hile Rd in Muskegon. Visitation will be Friday, January 29, 2016 from 4-7pm at Ever Rest Funeral Home and Chapel; 1783 E. Keating Ave. in Muskegon.
